🌈 Sensitive Color-Changing Fudge Putty Review

I have two students that I bought this for. The three colors never changed, no matter how long they tried to "get over it." They have sensory issues and are also easily angered, so not changing them was a problem.

I am a psychiatrist working with adolescents. I have these in my office and they love them! They're firm, smell good, and kids love that they change color. If they work, I let the kids play with them until the color changes completely. That works great!

Fur spatula quality. It's a bit harsh, and when it softens it's still not great. My kids and I have all tried changing the color with little success. Also, I bought 8 packs of "Multi-Colors" and ended up with several of the same colors. I would not recommend this product.

Super cool! The colors have been changing for a long time, but we've been working on each one and when it does, the change is very clear and obvious. It was much easier to heat everything up and then use cold material to bring the part back than to change it to a warm color. There was a lot of putty in each jar. Have fun!

My son loves playdough and we keep it on hand as a "sensory break" when he's frustrated with something like math work or video games. This putty is quite stiff, which I think makes it more suitable for our needs. The color change is good, maybe a bit slow. But it works well and my son likes it. He mixed them in an ugly poop color because he is 7 years old. Said he wanted to see what color they would change to. What we gonna do.

So I ended up ordering 4 sets because I kept getting colors. I figured if I buy a set I'll get one of each color, minus! So I left one of each color and brought the rest back. Pain in the ass but I like plump ones and mine change color easily. I sometimes use it to stay calm or focus on work. I love that when I'm at work it's more than a cracker. Good stuff overall, just don't expect from every color when ordering.

I have the same thermoset putty but under a different label and had never heard of it until reading a review of a different putty. The putty will change faster if exposed to a higher temperature before attempting to manipulate it with your hands. a few minutes. As you can see from the photos, each color has undergone noticeable changes, with green being the least dramatic. There are two shades of purple that turn either blue or pink. So if you have two, it may not be the same putty. after all…

But I cheated and used a hair dryer (in a can and for a short time) to activate the color change! It takes a lot of effort to change the colors by hand, but it works (and changes faster afterwards) and if you use it as intended, it's worth it. Purple and red change color very clearly, but green is much more subtle!
