Nice shoes though. . .

Velcro is a plus but the tongue is chunky. The quality is good to the fingertips. The toe box is covered in thin material/vinyl, whatever it is, and it looks like it's going to be the first part to take damage from wear and tear. It looks like the fingers are the least protected. Nice shoe but the quality of the shoe upper is not what I am used to from Columbia shoes. This is purely based on my opinion but is probably the perfect shoe for others but not my son.

You can get much better shoes for the same money.

It's ok in the rain, but then it's too much - better buy a Teva Arrow or something you can walk in more easily. This allows snow to get inside the shoe as it is quite loose around the sole. Ankle. It just can't work well with that fragile strap alone. They all cost the same or less and have the right design when it comes to how snowshoes should look like: Merrell Snow Bank 2Merrell Snow CrushKamik JACENorthFace AlpenGlowColumbia Bugaboot

Narrow and too short for snow

Advantages:1. They really are waterproof. My son wore them in quite rainy and muddy weather and his socks were never wet when he took his shoes off. They look good and don't look cheap made of high quality materials.3. Easy to take off and put on. Cons: 1. Fits my 5 year old son's foot. They could be a bit wider because of course in winter we wear thicker socks and at first he complained that they were too tight. But I stuffed a pair of socks in and pulled them out of the vent to warm them up…
