I bought this belt (and another one exactly the same in a different color. It had the name Colombia on it, so I thought it must be good. WRONG! First of all, it's not easy on the cutting the right length. It's a matter of trial and error. DO NOT cut a lot at once or you'll end up with a belt that's too short. The buckle broke after four months of very infrequent use, the rod inside broke in half. Columbia wants me to pay shipping so they decide if they fix it better buy a new one. Two thumbs down I will buy another brand.

Well it took 8 months. I got in my car, then there was a "click", I thought a button on my pants had come loose. Not quite the lifespan I would expect from a belt. At least I can join the broken belt club. Don't buy this again.

My rating is identical to everyone else with one or two stars - the slider pull bolt broke after 10 months of use 2-3 days a week. The bolt simply snapped in half, a clean break as others have described.

I bought this for my father, this is the 3rd belt. (All different colors) He always has problem with regular straps with holes because of his big belly always too loose or too tight, this is perfect because it is adjustable without holes and it also stretches a little. Great gift.

First Use: Unwrap belt, remove plastic scratch guard from metal, thread belt through loops on pants, insert belt into buckle, then slide pin to closed position. The metal pin broke into 2 equal pieces instantly, silently and cleanly, just like other bad reviews here describing the same thing.
