It all started great. The belt looks good, feels high quality and works very well. After about 2 weeks of wearing it started to slip and didn't stick well. It turns out that the notches on the "push bar" are very small and don't dig into the belt material very well. Also, the stem is bent into a curved shape so that it is too loose on one side and not tightened on the other side because it is too tight. The buckle broke after four months of very infrequent use, the inner shaft broke in half. Columbia wants me to pay shipping so they decide if they fix it better buy a new one. Two thumbs down I will buy another brand.

First Use: Unwrap belt, remove plastic protective sheet from metal, pass belt through loops on pants, insert belt into buckle, and then insert pin into the closed position. My review is identical to all the others with one or two stars - the slider tension screw broke after 10 months of use 2 or 3 days a week. The bolt simply snapped in half, a clean break as others have described.

I bought this for my dad there are 3 straps like this one. (All different colors) He always has trouble with regular straps with holes because of his big belly always too loose or too tight, that's perfect because it's adjustable without holes and it also stretches a little. Great gift.
