I love the Columbia PFG (Performance Fishing Gear) shirts, although I last fished when I was a teenager and am now in my 70's. The shirts offer excellent UVA and UVB protection, are comfortable and dry quickly. The fabric of this "Permit" shirt feels a little heavier than other PFG shirts I own, but still light enough. One of my favorite things about this shirt is the length. I am 5ft 7in and weigh 160lbs. The shirt is long enough to fall over my butt when worn open and the fabric is heavy…

Pros
  • The white color and classic design make this shirt a great addition to any wardrobe. It can be worn or taken off for any occasion, from casual outings to more formal occasions. The shirt is also easy to care for, making it a practical and reliable choice for everyday wear.
Cons
  • Price

Very light/cool fishing shirt with additional "quality " accents

This is a lightweight fishing shirt from Columbia. It's thinner, very light and very comfortable. The only drawback is the somewhat rough material. That being said, this shirt is *different* from other competitors in the "fisherman shirt" market. There are cheaper alternatives, but there's a special twist to this Columbia shirt when it feels like it's made better. Additional Details: 1. Mesh lining covering the back of the shoulder blades.2. Mesh lining that outlines the front pockets.3. Canvas

Pros
  • The Columbia Men's Permit Woven Short Sleeve Shirt is made from premium materials that are soft and breathable, making them perfect for hot summer days or warm climates. The shirt is designed to keep you cool and comfortable no matter what you're doing, whether you're hiking, running errands or just lounging.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean

it's ok last review

We liked it a bit more on the side of the uniform than relaxed in the pool shirt though. I wash, then steam out any wrinkles with a steam iron and the shirt looks great again. Or hang to dry.

Pros
  • Great fit, quality product
Cons
  • It's muy grande para la Talla

A great alternative to Columbia long sleeve shirts.

My husband loves Columbia's Omni-Shade shirts for fishing and other outdoor activities. Most of these shirts are long sleeved so it is good to have one with short sleeves, especially when fishing in bush areas where shirt sleeves can get caught. Just be sure to use sunscreen on your hands. Columbia's Omni Shade shirts are not made from the same material. This consists of 90% polyester and 10% elastin and is therefore easily stretchable. But that's JustMe. (I received this product in exchange…

Pros
  • A lightweight
Cons
  • Limited Color Options: Columbia Men's Permit woven short sleeve shirts are only available in white, which is not for everyone.

Light and airy. Great for hot days.

This is a lightweight and highly breathable shirt. The fit is accurate while the long sleeve option I got is a bit too big. I'm worried about whites and coloreds since my life consists of always getting my hands dirty and fixing things, but nothing has happened so far, mainly because there have been no opportunities since there are only 50 left to wear it this summer more often.

Pros
  • Men's Columbia Permit Woven SSI, 6ft, 190lbs, plus size fits great. It's well made and keeps me cool. Super happy.
Cons
  • The Columbia Men's Permit Woven Short Sleeve Woven Shorts require an iron for a clean, polished appearance.

Absolutely outstanding

This shirt is truly amazing, true to size and as advertised. It's lightweight, keeps you cool and easy to care for. The quality is top notch, nothing else was expected from Columbia. It's very comfortable, goes well with shorts or jeans and a big plus, it's great for swimming too. After all the covids are over we will be sailing and this shirt must be on the boat. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Great quality you would expect from Columbia. Perfect for hot, humid summers
Cons
  • No pockets

Best see through in t-shirts

If you don't mind seeing through clothing then this PFG shirt is for you. Do not get me wrong. It is well made, very light and fits well. Only the white version shines through. If you intend to wear this to casual meetings or out in public, consider wearing an undershirt, which defeats its purpose of being light and airy. I don't think other colors will have this problem so be careful. In general, Columbia devices are top notch and will last for years. I just don't know if I would wear that…

Pros
  • OMNI-SHADE: Stay safe and protected. Omni-Shade blocks UVA and UVB rays to prevent sunburn and long-term skin damage. Tight weave with UV absorbing threads blocks the full spectrum of harmful UV rays.

Cool, lightweight, versatile summer shirt

The Columbia Permit Men's Short Sleeve Woven Shirt is part of the PFG (Professional Fishing Gear) line of apparel. I have a few other shirts from this line and I really like them even though I don't fish. The fabric is multicolored and has an SPF of 50. The shirt I was reviewing was white. The shirt has two front pockets with velcro closure, a pull tab with velcro closure and a small loop under one pocket. Has a ventilated back. Super light. My only criticism of this colored shirt is that in…

Pros
  • ADVANCED TECH: This angler favorite features a button-down collar and button-down collar. This short sleeve shirt features advanced sun protection technology for all-day comfort.
Cons
  • Infinitely Slow

I go fishing! - Shirts

This is my fishing best friend and I's favorite fishing attire. They are available in long and short sleeves, and this short sleeve version is perfect for spring and summer in places with fewer mosquitoes. Living in Northern California, this isn't as much of an issue as some other places. The pockets are large and designed to hold my gear as well as permits etc. There is a velcro strap for the rod tip so you don't have to hold the rod. with my armpit, trying to attach a bait, etc. A lanyard…

Pros
  • COMFORTABLE FEATURES: This short sleeve fishing shirt features a rod holder, Velcro chest pockets to securely store small items and a vented back to help you stay cool when needed.
