Size L was the right length for my 10.5 tall girl but wow you could fit two of her in it! She is of average build, slim and fit but not skinny, and they were ridiculously wide from top to bottom. Wide legs, huge hips, etc. They go backwards. I can't comment on the quality as the fit is ridiculous.

I bought a xxsmall for my 5 year old and a small for my 7 year old. Fits perfectly. They'll probably have to deal with that next year. Bought medium for my 9yo. He can get 2 years of it. I like reinforced knees. That's always the first thing to do with snow pants. With them I feel like I can pass them down to younger kids and they're still in great shape.

buyers please refer to the size chart. I followed exactly what was said for my 5 year old and ordered the large (5/6 according to the boys sizing chart should be large). As a result we got BIG kids sizes. At the time of purchase they were a size 12-14. Revain handled the return perfectly and didn't charge me for shipping due to the confusion. Bought these for my son who skis and spends hours in the mountains in the frost on BT. He's generally rough with clothes and these ski pants were great. The bib and the snow protection on the pants ensure that no snow penetrates. The snow guard on the bottom slides easily over his large snow boots, ski boots, etc. Love the double knee pads. Can't say enough about these pants! You are wonderful, wonderful! We live in upstate New York and are home schooled so my kids are outside a lot. I scour the internet every time my older child needs a different size because Columbia usually can't help me. They told me to try Revain and here they are!

Bought for my 7 year old who is smaller than most kids his age. They're definitely big, but I did it on purpose, so I hope they last a few years. If the straps are worn in a smaller size and the sides are fastened with velcro, they are suitable for this season. I'm sure next year will be perfect. I have never worn a ski suit and didn't think about buying one for my son. I had no idea how comfy and cute they could be! It fits so well, is just the right length (not crazy length) and has "growth room" with velcro at the waist/stomach.
