The extra length is great

I have four of these shirts. Two have hoodies and two don't. The sleeves are very long so your wrist is always covered and the length is very long so it doesn't pull out of your pants when tucked in. There's just one design issue Columbia needs to fix. Get rid of the inscription on the left sleeve. With a lightweight material, the lettering will cause the case to pucker due to the weight of the lettering. This is my favorite hiking shirt for its light weight, sun protection, and bug repellent.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • communication with seller

Coolest, most comfortable

I love these shirts. I have one and now I have one for each day of the work week. It's been over 100 degrees lately and I wouldn't even think about changing my shirt. I can go without sunscreen (except on my face), and with the slightest breeze and a little sweat, I feel about 10 degrees cooler. Recently I was at a science museum where they had an exhibit with a thermal imaging camera. All shirts were red and my Columbia PFG was cool white! I have the basic versions of these shirts from Hane…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

Great shirt and they come in plus sizes!

First, it goes very well. I'm a tall 6ft 6in and I have really long arms. The sleeves were almost too long, which is a luxury (and a must if you want to cover your arms for sun protection). Wore the shirt all day by the river and the protection was great, no tanning, the shirt was comfortable all day on a sunny very warm day. Came home, grabbed a salad and poured beetroot on a white shirt. I got up and rinsed it off under cold water. threw it in the laundry. All is well! The shirts fit great…

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Doesn't go with everything

Hot and sticky in the sun compared to Tamiami II

Looking for the perfect tan shirt - had high hopes for it but found the shirt not airy and cool sleeves Tamiami II shines cooler to me and this one preferable. I have 82 degree weather with 60 percent humidity - any higher temperature or humidity from here and I will definitely wear the Tamiami II in the sun. The absolute best material I've found for t-shirts this summer is the Under Armor Playoff Polo. Shirts, and that's the standard by which I judge shirts. Sure, Under Armor has short sleeves

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great for fishing in the sun

When I fish it lasts many hours and I never forget to put sunscreen on or always forget to reapply it so I usually get sunburned. I bought this shirt to protect myself from the sun as it protects from the sun and hasn't burned since. In addition, it is very light, comfortable and will keep you cool in the summer as you would expect from a long sleeve shirt. It dries faster than a regular cotton shirt because it's breathable and lightweight. There are also so many colors of this shirt, I have…

Pros
  • Hands free

Big Yellow - a true sunshine yellow not boring like the photo

Love this for my husband. He hates sunscreen on the water and it protects him. He's always hot, but somehow he says if he's too hot shirtless, putting it on will cool him down. Should reflect the sun or something, but it works. It's cooler with that and at a temperature of 100+, on water for 10+ hours it doesn't stain at all - it certainly hasn't burned out. I bought a few for myself but they only have a few colors for women. The yellow is not matt like in the picture, but a real sunny yellow…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
