🧢 Optimized Columbia Whirlibird Watch Cap Beanie for Enhanced Online Visibility Review

This plain Columbia hat that was expected but arrived THREE months later than expected! I ordered it with coat and gloves as a Christmas present and was warned it might arrive a few days after Christmas but it arrived YESTERDAY February 20th!

Perfect size for a cap without cuffs. 7 inches long. so about in the middle of the ear or something. Its width is 8 inches. I didn't think finding a hat without cuffs would be so hard. It took me about 8 different ones to find this bad kid. Definitely going this year.

I have a small head so I'm not so concerned with the fit as with the overall warmth, quality and price of the item. It's a little thin, loose (for me), doesn't cover the ears well and doesn't help much in the wind. If you live in the Midwest, look elsewhere. I tried this and another cap from Revain before I went to Walmart and found a $6 cap that was better than the $20 cap I bought at Revain. I gave it two stars because it might be good for those who live in more hospitable winters.

Experts say that up to 45% of body heat is lost when the head is uncovered. Not with this kid. It's warm and comfortable on the coldest winter nights. I wear it every day, up to 18-20 hours a day, and hardly notice it's there. The best part is that it never irritates the skin on the forehead like some other materials. Don't take one, take two!
