Wrong fit on thermal pads

Inner/fleece lining too small underarms. Everything else was fine. Very disappointed with the fit. Bought one and sent it back. If Revane replaced it with the same one, only slightly better, he returned it. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Available in white only

Fleece lining is tricky

I love Columbia products but this fleece lining grips your clothes. I was wearing a sweater and the fleece texture grabbed your sweater and pulled the fleece so it protruded from under the cuff. Not sure if that makes sense - it's not easy to toggle on and off unless you're wearing something dressy. I can't live with that lol.

  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Nothing

Great jacket, would buy more

I was concerned it would be too small as I have broad shoulders and long arms for my height but was pleasantly surprised by the long sleeves and the great fit all around with an extra layer of space at the bottom. Great for those chilly rainy days we have all winter down south. Would buy again!

Pros
  • Pricey but decent
Cons
  • Legacy model

Columbia jackets aren't what they used to be.

It was such a wonderful color and simple design that I wanted to try it. Unfortunately the lining bulges at the cuffs and it's so boyishly boxy that I had to send it back. Columbia used to make the best coats and jackets, but the last few times I tried to find something I ended up returning it. Bad design and odd fit. Spring.

Versatility, great fit and great looks

I ordered size XL and it fits me perfectly as it gives a little more room for layering when visiting very cold regions. I'm tall but curvy so I like a slightly fitted waist that keeps me from looking boxy. Protects against wind and rain. In South Texas, the weather changes rapidly throughout the day, so I can warm up in the morning and then strip off my outerwear to be comfortable in a cold office, or just throw on a waterproof coat if it's raining.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • High price

Not bad but not great

I have a very old Bugaboo jacket that needed replacing but the new Bugaboo II didn't fit and wasn't as pretty so I tried this one instead. It's cuter and more suitable for outdoor activities than my old jacket which sometimes gets a little tight when driving or riding. I think Columbia changed their sizing a lot because the little jackets were too big for me. I've downsized to the XS but the range of motion is still better than the Bugaboo S. Overall I like the Ruby River but it's not perfectโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
