These were for my son and he loved them. They appear to be well made, like most Columbia items. I wouldn't pay $30 or more for these, but for $20 these are great shorts.

My boys love these shorts. They have mesh on the inside so they can be used as swimming trunks or good shorts. My boys both wear them. My boys are 11 and I bought Large.

I bought the XXS for my 2 year old son and they are a bit big but I expected them to be! When I roll them up they fit him perfectly! They look just like adult Columbia shorts!

Excellent color, fits as expected. Arrived on time. As with all PFGs I had to cut out the mesh liner. Not a big deal, but luckily Columbia separates the pockets from the underwear mesh so they're still functional.

These are good shorts but the only gripe about them is the pockets! I bought these for my son and every time he carries them in the water and then comes out the bags are constantly dangling. You need the best bag design. Otherwise these are good shorts.

My son is 15 years old, tall and "thin" (I would never tell him that, he is very shy). Thing is, he's super muscular but lean, NO fat (hell if I was that lucky lol). His dad was the same his age, worried too but filling up to reach a pretty perfect 6'1 180lbs so I keep telling my son to give him time! Needless to say, he's not quite into youth sizes and his small man throats! I've been lucky enough to find very small X-Small men's that work well, but these Columbia XL shorts are just PERFECT! I
