It was a little fun to set up but this is an excellent quality antenna. Just have a good base mount for it as it's a heavy item!

Four strips, fold! What's not to like? I had some trouble finding the tiny set screws but found they were M4 by 4mm. An amazing addition to the Comet family.

I would not, but this product does not withstand the winter weather, if you need to fix something due to a natural disaster, then "Alex" company did not worth standing behind your product and forcing you to buy a replacement part

I've used Comet products before so wasn't surprised at the build quality. At the moment I am using parts 2 and 70 but will be modifying my radio to include 10M. Anyone looking for quad band should be happy with this antenna.

Firstly I didn't see where it said that a magnetic base is not recommended. Well it isn't. The Comet magnetic base is not suitable for this antenna. It just flew away while driving. I broke the topload within a week. Besides that. Excellent antenna. I've been using it for a while. Works perfectly.

This antenna works great and the SWR is low at both 2 meters and 70 cm 6 meter range. I've never tried 10 meters. So if you're just looking for a dual band antenna this will work, but there are cheaper dual band antennas that will work just as well if not better. like a quad band just doesn't work for me. 6 meters was too much.

This antenna is excellent. Works as advertised on all 4 bands and also works out of range. The folding function has been greatly improved as it is no longer the tension of the spring but a screw that holds it together. I haven't had any crashes. Cons: A bit heavy. Set screws often work themselves out. The set screws are M4 sized for those that need to be replaced. All in all a good antenna.

So far I'm not impressed with this antenna. I've tried setting it up, but it's barely usable. I have emailed Komet to see if it can be replaced or repaired. Lets see what happens. I originally got this to mount on a car with a large magnetic mount when I'm not moving, but it became my basic indoor antenna. I added about 19 inches of counterbalance wire and got an SWR of 1:1 at 2m and 1.3:1 at 70cm (without changing the counterbalance wire). I guess my second floor is a good spot because with 15 watts from inside I can easily hit repeaters 50 miles away. 6m has a high SWR and I haven't quite figured out how to get it down despite being able to adjust the antenna tips.
