Organize with Ease: Command Wire-Back Hangers 4-Pack (17043-ES) Review

This was the first time we used this type of product to hang our photos. We have bought several and love them. Now all you have to do is find a way to hang heavy things.

The very first one I tried fell off the wall less than five minutes after I hung a painting on it, breaking the glass of a fairly small painting, 8X10. I re-read the directions on the packaging to make sure I didn't miss anything or did something wrong. The wall was clean but I cleaned it anyway and waited for it to dry before trying again and got the same result. Unfortunately I bought the bonus pack and think I'm stuck since I opened it.

My experience (two years later) is that these picture hangers work great when installed correctly! We are in a new house (put into operation in 2012). Be sure to wait until the new paint is completely "dry” first. Latex paints take a full month to fully dry. Then use a forbidden cleaner (I use denatured alcohol) before sticking the strip on the wall. Then wait at least an hour before hanging the picture. I usually wait until the next day.
