I've been using these on a brick wall for a few months now and they work great. Follow the directions, make sure the surface is dry and dust free (brick test only) and they work great! These items are useless if you are trying to use them on a standard textured/painted wall. I tried hanging two different clocks in two different places. Both hours were well below the weight limit. Both hooks came loose, causing the clock to fall off the wall and break. I am very frustrated with the manufacturer's claims as they are completely false claims as to their usage/weight limits.
