Works great so far with my A6000

Received it yesterday and tried it last night with two lenses, my Canon 50 f1.4 and 60mm (macro). A very strong and sturdy piece of equipment (seems to double the weight of the camera body when attached), it fits very well on both the body and the ends of the lens. There's a lot of searching in autofocus mode, but that can be bad. lighting conditions. I don't expect perfect speed, otherwise I would just use the lens directly on my Canon 60D. Looking forward to practicing with a few lenses…

Doesn't work well with Sony a6000

Doesn't work well with a6000. I've tried four different Canon lenses with mixed results, but none were good or less bad. The Tamron EF lens had a camera error and required a reboot. Autofocus was very slow or didn't focus at all. On the other hand, it tracked what aperture, ISO and shutter speed I was shooting at in manual mode and let me use my adjusted manual focus lenses as usual. I believe the next model from Sony will work better with these types of adapters, so you can try your luck if…

Annoying to use. Cheap!

I used this once and two internal screws came loose. The screws can be tightened to the limit, but they still don't feel secure and will eventually be lost again. No matter what pistol lens I use on one of my Sonys, this adapter will not snap into place with a tight snap. It is always lost and never fully tightened and fixed. It feels like the middle of my setup is fragile and things are getting lost. No pleasure. Still, he did his job, but I'm very careful with the camera, like I'm walking on…

10-18 EF-S works on my a6000.

Looks solid and well built. The detachable tripod mount is nice and well balanced. I still have two Canon lenses that I wanted to use with my Sony a6000 camera; here are the results: EF 50mm 1.8 works fine with it, all gears are exif, AF chases and slows down noticeably, but runs with random defocus most of the time. My Canon EF-S 10-18mm lens also works well, all Exif communication and aperture control is fine, image stabilization works well, autofocus works in good light and outdoors, but…

  • Expensive

So I'll have to post pictures later but I have to say this product is top notch. Permits are perfect! It fits my Sony A6000 like a real Sony lens, and my Canon and Sigma lenses fell off like putting them on a Canon DSLR. It even feeds the lens EXIF data into my camera like it was made for Sony. A note on autofocus because I've seen it many times before. Not sure why, but the AF light on the Sony A6000 body does NOT work when used with a Canon lens, even when it's on. However, when using the…

Good buy but check lens compatibility!

This adapter was the perfect purchase for me when I switched from Canon to Sony. This saved me from losing the ability to use all the lenses I bought. However, be sure to check the compatibility of your autofocus lens. Using my autofocus Canon lenses was a huge benefit, but I found the autofocus doesn't always work with my 24-105, which sucks since it's a more expensive lens. At first I thought the adapter was broken when the autofocus didn't work, but then I realized the problem was with my…

Works perfectly or not at all depending on the lens (list below)

Works perfectly or not at all depending on the lens. I've tested with my Sony A7RII (which has a reputation for working well with Canon lenses) and a Canon 50mm 1.8 II and it DOES NOT WORK AT ALL: no autofocus (searches forever) and the aperture was LOCKED at 1.8, although I changed it manually on the camera (it changed to the correct value immediately when I pressed to record, which lost 1/4 second and missed a couple of shots). Both autofocus and live aperture (see changing aperture BEFORE…

Works well for manual focus

After reading many good reviews of this adapter I decided to try one with the a6000 and some Canon mount lenses. I tested it with four different lenses: Canon EF-S 60mm Macro f2.8, Canon EF-S 10-22 f3.5-4.5, Tamron AF 28-75 f2.8 and Sigma 70-200 f2.8. The adapter has worked successfully with all four lenses. The auto focus worked for everyone but as others have said it is very slow. The lens will fully and fully focus and usually return to correct focus, causing a normally silent lens to make a

Not as bad as people say.

I USED THIS WITH A7ii People complain about this system's auto focus on this adapter. I found it quicker than many of the comments here and the YouTube videos lead me to believe. I think this is because they come with a newer firmware version than what originally came with them. The main downside of this adapter is the ability to use non-native Canon lenses. Focusing is fast enough for me on the Canon L glass, but I found it less than satisfactory when using the Sigma lens. Not only was…
