Paw Print Keepsake - Companion Gear Review

We tried to celebrate our dog's 15th birthday with a paw print souvenir with our granddaughter. I followed the kneading instructions and then when I pressed Bella's paw into the sticky clay it got stuck and I spent five minutes cutting the clay from the wool between her pads. It was a horrible experience.

The kit arrived it's super easy. It has a more frothy consistency than clay, even when dried. Our dogs wanted nothing to do with it. It took us three to try and get our dog's print and after that he was a crazy walker. All in all a very simple kit, my daughter spent three minutes preparing, all you need is an obedient puppy!

It worked beautifully but we used it as a reminder of her paw print when our beloved dog died and thought it dried like ceramic. It turned out beautifully and we have a wonderful keepsake forever and while it didn't dry like ceramic, it dried almost like high quality thick foam. I will recommend and buy again. This article means the whole world to us :(

That was the worst! I bought a similar set from a pet store last year with no problem, but from a different brand. It was impossible to remove the clay from the packaging, it stuck to the walls and peeled off the oily residue inside. Has it gotten too hot? I do not know. It sure isn't hot here in Ohio. It was sticky, difficult to make an imprint, difficult to make a hole. I would not buy this brand again.

My girl Sadie, I have a long running time. I really wanted to make her a keepsake. The kit looks so easy. It was hard to get out of the bag but once I did it was pretty easy to get ready. I pressed my paw into her. She was such a soldier. No problem. Until I tried to take my paw off her. DISCOVER! The leg is stuck in the "clay". Between the fingers, on the pads, in the fur, even in the nails. Needless to say, I didn't get a pawprint. And I spent the next 15 minutes trying to get the clay off…
