The price was high. The problem is that when installing the yellow cartridge, I kept getting the message that the cartridge was not installed or that the cartridge was empty. It originally registered as a full cartridge, but after playing around with it to get it to work, it simply registered as empty. *UPDATE** After 2 months of ink use the yellow gear is making a terrible sound and turning yellow all over my printer. The other colors are fine and they still have tons of ink but half the yellow because it's all over my printer. The black is ok but doesn't stay fully in the printer and I had to mask it off. First impression was bad because the black cartridge didn't snap into the printer from the top. The remaining 3 cartridges snapped into place and the tops of those cartridges were correctly positioned. The black cartridge did not snap on top, so no connections were made to the board above and the printer generated an error message. I have ordered this item twice, kept it and used it for two years. I do a lot of document prints and occasional graphic prints. It lasts quite a long time in relation to its storage (since I don't have to constantly replace them, just the ones that are empty).
