Original HP ink cartridges are overpriced! For the past 1-2 years I could find regular cartridges that work with my HP but now I can't find them. HP has since stopped this by using computer chips in their cartridges and brand name cartridges will not work without the chips. So I tried this DIY version. In theory, you remove the computer chip from your current HP cartridge and install it in this generic brand. THEORY AND REALITY are very different! Drilling out the original chip wasn't as easy…

Works great easy to install with instructions and works with chip swap. Unfortunately the chip works where it does but it doesn't update the chip's sensor and says it's still low. For now, I'm fine with saving $300 to get quality ink that works.

Excellent print quality for this price. I see no difference between these cartridges and OEM HP. Why pay more these days when you don't need it? Only 4 stars for the ease of installation as the end user does not have to remove the chip from the HP cartridge and install it in a new cartridge. This isn't rocket science and instructions are included. Cherry on the cake: Chip replacement tools included!

I wanted to wait a bit before writing my review to see how well the ink works. So far I'm glad I bought them! The colors look a bit stronger than on the original HP. Saving $300 is always a plus. The chip was easy to remove and put in and they give you the tools to make your job easier. The printer doesn't read the chip so it's impossible to tell if it's running low, but I can take my $300 savings and spend it on something else lol. It's worth the sacrifice.

These cartridges are much cheaper than Original HP cartridges. You need to replace the chip from the original HP replacement cartridge, but it's very simple. The product comes with easy to understand instructions and pictures and is well worth the effort. I couldn't tell any difference in the print result.

***UPDATE*** My experience with the cartridges sent to me was poor. The company contacted me to fix the problem and was able to refund my money. The case was explained by the fact that the product I received had a defective part. Tony contacted me directly, was very polite and eager to find a satisfactory solution to the problem and offered me several options to choose from. This store has GREAT customer service! For this reason alone I can only recommend them! Toner at a low price and excellent print quality. Finding a place to buy cheaper toner to bypass the HP system chip is great. It costs $400 to buy all 4 toner cartridges from HP! We paid less for a printer that came with cartridges!
