⌚️ Fitbit Alta Charger, USB Charging Cable Cradle Dock for Fitbit Alta and Fitbit Ace Fitness Wristband (1-Pack 1FT/30CM)(Not Compatible with Alta HR) Review

The product does not fit the Alta Fitbit, at least not the first generation Alta. I tried to return the package as it is obviously wrong and the return is almost the same as the product. Very disappointed.

My Alta charger broke and I looked at it as an inexpensive replacement. It charges fine, but doesn't have the reset button that a real Alta charger has, so you can't use this method when trying to reset/reboot your Alta.

To charge the Fitbit, the charger and the Fitbit have three points that must match. The dots on the Fitbit run horizontally from the top. The dots on the charger are arranged vertically. You have no way to connect! This charger is not good and I want to return it.

I didn't want to spend $26 on a Fitbit so I gave it a try. That does not work. It won't charge, my Mac has disabled the accessory port I plugged it into due to too much battery drain, it doesn't have a reset button, etc. Don't waste your time and money. I just hope this didn't fry our Fitbit. If so, I'll be in touch with Revane soon.

The spring on my Fitbit charger "springed" and I first attached a rubber band to it so it could charge for me. This annoyed me, so I looked for a replacement from Revain. The first 2-3 times I used it everything is fine. Then I plugged it in and the Fitbit got hot, turned off and never turned back on! It literally fried my Fitbit! I do NOT recommend!

I've had problems since the day I got the Fitbit, but only with the charger. The spring clip broke on the first attempt to attach it to the watch. I stuck it on and used it anyway. Busy lifespan, so never changed the charger. Until now. I think Fitbit would have replaced it with no problem, but the problem was my lag. The new charger works great and I am very happy with my watch.

Pro: cheap and functional. Cons: Really not worth using with a charger. It's my own fault for not listening, but after using it as a direct replacement for the standard charger and plugging it into the same wall charger, the battery life dropped significantly. I used to charge once every few weeks but now mostly every day. Apparently it's a good replacement if you only plug it into USB sources. But the fact that you really shouldn't be using a wall charger greatly reduces its usefulness.

DO NOT BUY! Should have read all the negative reviews before buying. I used it once with no problems. The second time I used it, my Fitbit turned off, got VERY hot, and never turned on again. It's ruined because I was too stingy to spend another $5 on a real Fitbit charger. If you read all the one star reviews you will see that this is a common occurrence. Please spend $9.99 and get the original.

I bought this charger and used it for about 2 months with no problems, but one night I was charging my Fitbit and when I unplugged it after about an hour my Fitbit Alta was incredibly hot and has Won't turn on, restart, or sync with computer. I'm sure the charger had something to do with the damage as my wife's Fitbit Versa later that night was charged from the same USB socket with no issues. To test this again, I plugged the charger into my computer's USB port and plugged the Alta into it…
