The best you can buy!

Installed this in less than 30 minutes, my tailgate is heavy and now my wife can easily access the bed of my truck and this thing keeps it from slamming. Highly recommended and would not trade for an OEM part from FOMOCO.

Works great but gets stiff in the cold

The stand is easy to install and works great. My only complaint is that when it's cold, the strut becomes very stiff, making the tailgate difficult to open and close. However, it was worth it as the tailgate was very heavy and opened frequently.

Excellent tailgate fastener is best in spare parts

The product is very easy to install. The tailgate now runs very smoothly and no longer slams shut. My back door has a built in ladder. So when I open the back door, it goes down slowly enough not to slam. For safety reasons (my young children) I feel like my heavy liftgate could have used a different one. This is definitely "my opinion" because the product does exactly what it is supposed to do. I definitely recommend this product!
