I was looking for an alternative to speaker spikes when I came across this computer stand. My goal was to increase the height of the speakers and the risers did the job! The stands fit the shape of Bose 401 speakers. According to the stand, they are rated to hold 88 pounds. Each speaker weighs 29 pounds. The speakers are stuck. I recommend the triangular shape for your Bose 401 vintage speakers. 4 stars because the foot extension is plastic.

Straight out of the box this is a black set and it looked great. I tightened my legs and did not have time to look with my legs straight. 1 rubber foot was missing. In my opinion, it is very important not to scratch the surfaces or move the stand. The rubber foot was about 3/4 in diameter and about 1/8 in height. Revane offered $5 to buy another foot. I had a new sit/stand desk that I was in the process of customizing. The problem is I'm using a laptop and two monitors, three screens total, and there was no way to get this to work on the same shelf as the bottom keyboard shelf. So I needed something to elevate the monitors high enough for the laptop to stand in front of without blocking the view, but not rectangular. Good things to start with - these shelves are sturdy and each leg can be individually adjusted in height. A non-removable brand logo is printed on each shelf, but I was able to position it to sit on top under the monitor stand.
