It's great that you can easily insert or replace your drives, everything is made of metal, solid, nice and flat, I like it

I only received this product at the end of the week. The instructions for use are minimal at best. And the only thing that gives at least an idea of how to open the case is the photo on the box. When I figured it out, a corner of black plastic broke off near the "On/Off" button. So I take the 2.5" drive that was originally in my laptop, put it in the case and plugged it into the USB 3.1 port on my personal PC (this PC actually has four USB 3.1 ports on the back and four more on the front). more

The data transfer speed was terrible (124MB/s for a 1TB Samsung 840 EVO, which is about 1/4 of its capacity). The Gauntlet II hull is twice as good in this regard. For an SSD, I recommend the StarTech (S2510BPU33) SATA III USB3 UASP Enclosure instead (it delivers 432MB/s on a Samsung SSD). back out of the enclosure (he didn't let go).

It works, and that's important for the price. Although it is quite heavy due to the thick metal, this can also be described as good. The reason I gave only three stars is that the plastic sides are not flush with the metal body. It looks like the metal took a shape to match the plastic during final assembly, or the metal didn't meet specs initially, but otherwise feels solid.
