Not very durable for computer cable adapter

Works, but is anything but robust, and the two threaded screws supplied with different lengths seem too long or too short depending on the application. These items appear to be a factory defect and are being sold at full price, which I have seen many times at Revain.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works great.: Computers and accessories

The only problem I had is that the screws that go through to tighten the PC don't have a washer so they don't slide out all the way. I made a cable that doesn't always fit and by the second day the screws were lost. Not a big deal for my application, but exacerbates nonetheless.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Updates available

Get one for each tool kit!

This bit of simple technology is a must for any network engineer. In seconds I was able to reconnect the ethernet patch cable to use with the Ciena console cable. Then repeat for something else. Get one for your everyday use and buy some for friends for Christmas! I mean. if they are nerds too.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Poor

Great way to connect a DB25 connector and replace wires

Making a programming cable for a scanner programmer and needed a way to change the configuration until he programmed the scanner correctly and no longer wanted to solder and desolder connections. . This setup worked great, not much larger than a standard DB25 and still fit in the laptop and scanner port. I will buy more if needed.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Disappearing

Excellent way to connect DB25 connectors and switch cables

Making a programming wire for a scanner programmer and he needed a way to change the configuration until he had programmed the scanner properly and didn't want to keep solder and desolder connections. This setup worked great, not much larger than a standard DB25 and still fit in the laptop and scanner port. I will buy more if needed.

Pros
  • Product Name: DB9 Serial Adapter; Connector Wire Range: 12-24AWG
Cons
  • disappears

Ideal for making custom cables

- DIN-DB9 serial cable for project, I was working on. This little adapter allowed me to easily create a 'standard' DB9 end for easy connection to my PC.I used an old mini din cable, cut a couple of spade lugs into separate wires crimped and then connected them to the adapter's screw terminals. The complaint is that the retaining screws are not threaded properly - they are too long so the screws in the adapter are not "captive" like they are with any other standard clamp connector Otherwise I…

Pros
  • Design: Screw type; Overall Size: 58 x 35 x 21mm/2.3" x 1.4" x 0.83" (L*W*H)
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

! Check your pin configuration before you go!

We bought the product TWICE and the first time we connected this RS232 with pin numbers. which were printed on page 2, 3, 5. (Standard RS232 connections) Well it turns out their printed numbers on their connector weren't 2,3,5 for RS232 which got us a ton of HEARTBURN from hooking up a home automation system to the security panel. We ended up checking with a multimeter and found that it uses pins 9, 8, 6! "Someone" at the factory must have been sleeping at work! The second time we bought this…
