Costs money. fits screws

The best construction screws I have ever used. The built in washer/head along with the top 1-1/2" screw allows the boards to be fully extracted every time and prevents warping of the boards due to future retraction of the tapered head.

Pros
  • Deep, wide, sharp thread for maximum holding power, ideal for both hard and soft woods
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Good Broad Head Screw

Ideal for attaching tarp or other thin materials to the tree. The case appears to be in good condition and looks like it will last a while. I like the star attachment and that they cut a clean hole. They have a pretty good grip, but if you're too aggressive you can cut through the wood.

Pros
  • Dimensions: Width .547" (head) - Height .14" - Shank size .25" - Length 1.5" head to tip
Cons
  • Lightly torn

They do what they say.

This is my first time using wood screws and they do what they promise. I usually drill a small hole to stick them in before hammering them in, but they can cut a hole themselves if you're persistent. Once you start drilling yourself it seems to do a good job of avoiding splitting the wood.

Pros
  • Aggressive V-notch thread and style 17 point for quick start and easy installation
Cons
  • Long delivery time
