You don't understand what is in the picture or in the description!

What we ordered is not what we received and when we contacted the seller all they said was that Revain had an old painting. Isn't it your job to update the information? The new product is crappy and very difficult to install! We ordered the part shown in the photo which is an old model that works great. Now we have to go to the trouble of sending it back to get a refund.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works great on motorcycles and powersports

I have a 19 year old Suzuki ATV that was donated with property we bought on the Maine Mid Coast. I've had it for 3 years now and since then the Warn winch only works one way. My electrical engineer friend (I'm a mechanic) helped me diagnose a "contactor" fault in a circuit. I found the part on their website for $102. I searched on Revain and found it for $19! I installed it and the winch works like a charm.

  • Everything is great!

Works when it wants. Spend money. Get OEM

I was very excited to see how heavy it was and resembled my old warning box. Unfortunately, as others have said, it works intermittently and needs a shock when it gets stuck. Too bad because my old one was replaced. I have since disassembled my old warning box and cleaned and oiled it. My old device is now working perfectly and this new one is going to be on the shelf in an emergency. Return shipping is less than $17.

Better than stock block

I have a Harbor Freight Bad Lands 3500# winch. It was a very good device, but the solenoid stopped working after about a year of year-round use. I was looking for a durable and affordable replacement and found this unit. It took a bit of trial and error as there were no instructions in the box. Took me about an hour and a half to get a good install but the results are excellent, this solenoid has worked flawlessly all summer. I'm curious to see how it works for clearing snow this winter. I…

Works great but needs more detailed instructions

The instructions provided are minimal. It's obviously not hard to figure out what goes to the big terminals (battery +/- and winch +/-). However, the controller cables are not labeled and not described in the instructions. so you have to figure it out through trial and error. I would recommend doing this prior to installing the solenoid on the vehicle as it is constantly being fitted and removed during testing. Overall I would buy it again because it worked great on the track. I soaked it in…

  • Repair

Used to replace my warning relay which was starting to go haywire. Snow removal there a lot back and forth. The old relay stopped working hot. This works as intended. The mounting holes match my warning relay and all the wires fit. A note: the control wires (small green and black with round connectors) are swapped compared to my old relay. It's okay to reconnect them. This simply puts the switch in the opposite position, i.e. the input winches are off and the output winches are on. It's fine…

Simple, cheap and effective solution!

I am very satisfied with this product. My winch had a wireless remote control, just a magnet box, and the box died. The remote is not interchangeable, so I knew I would need a wired switch and relay to power my relay. I didn't want to spend any money on it, so this $15 device was just what I needed. It's that simple and safe. The circuit is simple so let me explain. The best way to explain this is to think of the large cables that run from the battery to the winch, positive and negative. All…
