The red keep-warm button is the only button worth using. The blue light makes my coffee cool down too quickly. So I always use the red function, which makes me love this heater and use it every day. I'll have to get another one when I get back to the office. I must have one at work and at home.

I have found this item to keep my coffee warm enough no matter what mug I use. I usually use cups, as in the photo, and a thick bottom. I liked it so much that I ordered another one in the second room. It's very easy. So I used a small extension cord to extend the 5 foot cord that comes with the unit. But my table is about 8 feet from the outlet.

I have my old Mr. Coffee on your desk with it. While the description and reviews say that a concave bottom mug won't work, my favorite mug has a concave bottom and keeps my coffee as hot as an old mug warmer. I have it on the highest (red) level - and it's doing a great job. I'm glad I bought it, the design is sleeker and cleaner than the old one.

I'm tired of my coffee or tea getting cold before I finish my drink. Now it stays warm until I'm done drinking. I would have preferred it to be a bit warmer but I'm sure he keeps it lower than I prefer for safety reasons. That being said, I'll never have a cold "hot" drink again. The temperature/on/off button is touch sensitive, not really a button, so I sometimes turn it on by trying to move it when I don't have a hot drink. My only other minor complaint. It works well and keeps my drink warm.

Yes, it won't make your coffee hot. I hate coffee that I can't drink because it's too hot. This keeps my coffee warm at just the right temperature. I always use the red setting for my cups. Blue setting for thinner cups. It turns itself off after 8 hours so I can set it and forget it. I tried 3 different brands before I found this one.
