You get what you pay for

I think you get what you pay for. This bluetooth controller worked every 5 minutes then the light wouldn't come on. In other words, junk.

great idea - scary app

works as advertised. I don't like the look of the app as it's sketchy and burglar alarms in my head. Maybe it's ok, but these days anything related to the Chinese and Asian markets is suspicious.

Very easy to set up!

First connect the LED controller to the RGB strip, download the "Hao Deng" APP and open Bluetooth on your phone, then open the APP. automatically search for a bluetooth device, you just need to click on the bluetooth device name and add it. But be careful, the connection between the Bluetooth controller and the lightbar must be in the direction of the arrow.

Great price for lighting and ceiling fans

It took a while to connect via the app but after that the connection is always almost error free. It comes with double sided mounting tape and it would be nice to be able to easily clean the surfaces before sticking. I love the app's interface and how many colors and color swatches it can display. The main reason for buying the Bluetooth version is that the remotes that come with others tend to break with little use.

Make sure you get this and not the WIFI version.

WIFI version of these things arrived DOA or died shortly after going live. And I use without a WIFI router on a sailboat so I couldn't control multiple sets of lights on separate buttons. Got this Bluetooth Mesh version and had a completely different experience. They connected to BT with no problems, each of them has been working flawlessly for a few months now, and finally I can control all the different zones at will. It's a good choice.

Update. work again! Just need to learn how to reset the microcontroller.

Update! I previously marked this with 1 star because I had issues with it. I found you can reset the microcontroller and it works great now. Previous rating: It worked for about 5 minutes. Then it doesn't connect. The Bluetooth connection is now practically useless and the app will no longer connect to the controller. Good to know how to reset controller settings. If you have problems with the controller, please reset it by cycling power, with a 5-7 second delay between plugging and unplugging…
