I was very concerned that after upgrading our TV we wouldn't be able to connect our Wii as the original cable was not compatible. I searched for Revain and found a more expensive converter that didn't work at all. Then I came back and found this. THIS IS THE BEST. Cheaper and more profitable! The picture and screen quality is excellent! Our Wii has now been running for 10 years and we hope that thanks to this converter it will be used for many years to come!

To be honest apart from the slight green tint visible in black which may be due to my own Wii (it's been around for years and has sat for a long time ) , or an old HDMI cable I was using needs replacing), I couldn't tell it apart from some of the more expensive ones! It does what it promises and so far I haven't had any problems. Very easy to use since you only have to connect it to the Wii and the HDMI port itself to your TV and you're done. Don't expect your Wii to be 1080p, it will still be 480p but will look a lot better. If you hook it up to a 4k TV, it should up the resolution a bit too. Works right out of the box, just plug and play. I didn't have to adjust any monitor settings or anything like that. It remains to be seen if it will stand the test of time, but first impressions are very good! The Wii can't output 1080p no matter what cable or converter you use, so I'm not expecting a great picture on a 50" plasma. I wanted an alternative for my Wii so I didn't have to switch cables for PS2 and Wii. At first I was glad it worked, but upon further observation I noticed moving lines on the Wii main menu.
