Black SDI to HDMI Converter with Auto Format Detection, Audio De-Embedder, and SDI Loopout Review

I don't know what happened but eventually it just didn't work properly. We've used it from the mixer to the converter, to 300ft SDI, to the Black Magic converter and to the camera. Somehow he doesn't seem to like it. Our Black Magic Boxes work perfectly, so bring them back to replace with your trusty old BM.

Like many of you, I accidentally bought this product because I didn't look closely enough and thought I was buying a Blackmagic Designs micro converter. Long story short, this device was not streaming audio from my Blackmagic ATEM TV Studio to my AV receiver. I bought a genuine Blackmagic micro converter and it works great in the same situation.

I needed a simple, easy to install converter that would work. We can receive HD live streams exactly where we need them and it makes it easy to connect to any standard HDMI TV. I don't really know what "transparency" or "thickness" means when it comes to electronics, but this thing works fine.

1080. Three of these used with Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro. They worked great and I was able to stream audio and video to the mixer. C300 mkII and Sony Fs7 cameras were used. You'll need a power source at a time, so plan for that, but I've had no problem live streaming multiple events over the course of a few days. I am very happy with the purchase and satisfied with the quality of the product.

As good as a well known brand. Durable metal body. This includes a 5V power supply for the price. It does what it's supposed to do, it converts the camera's SDI signal to HDMI for recording. (One minor complaint: the SDI connectors aren't bolted to the case like some other (more expensive) brands. This doesn't affect performance in any way, but use caution when disconnecting the SDI connectors when they're tight with it they don't rip board connectors from the board.Fees.Otherwise: 5 stars!

Very general setup instructions for the most part (because it's not that hard to set up) but no info on the red light (which I assume indicates power) and the flashing green which is never explained.
