I don't know if it's a male connector or .

I don't know if it fits this plug or socket. I know it's not a tight fit, so the connection has an issue. It doesn't fit properly with the 25ft extension cord that I ordered with it.

It does exactly what you expect it to do with one low price. Audio engineers will tell you there are reasons not to use such a simple connection to connect two devices. If you only want to connect the line-out to multiple output devices or low-power headphones, this is sufficient.
