Coolant Thermostat Housing Wahler 410086 97D Review

I was approaching 123,000 miles on the original thermostat and water pump on my 2009 X3 so I decided to replace both before something broke at the wrong time. This German made thermostat fitted perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

Perfect for 2008 BMW 328i Sedan. Got it installed by a local mechanic and ended up saving good money. The dealer asked for $105 and that was his bargain price. He usually sells it for $175. Dealer parts are always fake. I'm glad there are sites like Revain where I can get quality parts at an affordable price. I've been buying less and less auto parts from Autozone, O'Reilly, etc. since Revain has what I need.

Bought to replace the regular BMW 328ci 2009 thermostat. The fit wasn't as perfect as the OEM but worked initially. However, after 8 months the thermostat heater element opened the circuit causing DTC P0128 and P0597. I had to buy another thermostat and spent another 5 hours replacing the faulty thermostat. Contacted seller, no response. I do not recommend this product because any of you who have tried to change the thermostat yourself know that it is not an easy task.

When my 2006 325i (E90) had a water pump failure I decided to replace the thermostat at the same time as they are linked. Shipping was incredibly fast, I placed an order with Revain on Thursday and received the item the next day (standard shipping only). The product arrived exactly as described, installed it when I made the water pump and have had no problems to date. If I ever need to replace my thermostat in the future (hope I don't have to) I will definitely shop here again. Thanks!
