It's heavy, it packs about twice as much as an air-filled pillow, and it's difficult to compress once released. I first bought a Coop Premium Shredded Memory Foam for camping and traveling and I love how I can adjust the comfort of the pillow by removing the shredded memory foam. I bought this as a travel pillow and am very happy with it. The shredded memory foam gives it a nice volume but also makes it quite comfortable with a medium firmness. It came in a vacuum bag and was pretty flat, but after taking it out of the bag it fluffed up pretty quickly. Since it still smelled like memory foam a day or two after airing it out, I tossed it in the washer and then in the dryer with great results - it got even better and the smell was gone.
