now that i have them i can feel the quality. Made in China but they are very good, better than any clamp blocks or bindings like this I've seen in online stores and I only buy the best I can get my hands on. I think these are the best. They have a small screw with a hole that can hold the taut wire going to the post. If you make your own speakers, use them instead of plates.

I recommend these mounting pins to anyone looking to upgrade existing pins that need to fit into a fairly thick baffle. We make custom enclosures for my 1982 Klipsch Heresy speakers and I bought them as an upgrade for this project. Build quality is excellent, bright copper finish, black aluminum caps with color rings, hex wrench for wire tightening, color coded clear insulators.

These are incredibly high quality connectors, they have very low electrical resistance and actually look even better than the photos; on amazon they are shown with a domed cap but they actually come with polished round caps. The only complaint I have with them is that they don't even come close to attaching an 8AWG wire with a set screw on the end, and they don't pick up solder very well.
