I don't know how well it works but I do know it's all a HARD CONNECTION as you can't switch cables. You can't extend the line connecting the jack without adding a jack (which never works), nor can you replace the base station with a handset cord. GE manufactured the phone you are purchasing and must be used within 6 feet or so of your jack. Using it as a wall phone gives you about 18 inches of portability.

I was skeptical about this phone based on previous reviews but took a chance as it matches the colors of my kitchen perfectly. This phone really is a piece of junk. Much worse than I thought, maybe a simple phone. The cord that plugs into the phone jack isn't very long, but it's also connected to the phone, so you can't just replace it with a longer cord. - Flexible opening, half of the clip releases instantly.
