Solid stainless steel construction (much sturdier than plastic hinges). Includes 2 metal hinges & 8 screws (all you need is your Phillips screwdriver). Compatible with Igloo-style ice chests with rectangular hinges. Replaces rectangular shaped hinges on coolers from 25 quarts to 165 quarts (Igloo coolers in last 30 years all have a standard size). Hinge size, 2.5 inches long , hinge closed 3/4 inch wide, hinge open 1.5 inch total; distance between two holes 1 5/8 inch.

Stainless Steel Igloo Hinge

I like the hinge. Stronger than the plastic they are attached to. The screws are 10 x 3/4 inch. If you break a plastic hinge, stop using the Igloo and install new hinges as soon as possible. Otherwise the screws will be overloaded and break. It all starts with a bar that limits the top hole. If that rod fails, replace it with something or repair it immediately. The hinges do not support an unrestricted top hole.

I wish I had had these years ago!

I know I've thrown away quite a few Igloo ice boxes over the years because the hinges broke and there were no replacements in our town . I made loops out of Clorox lenses to go white and they could last a season. When the hinges broke on one of my igloos I decided to check out the Revain and lo and behold the stainless steel hinges popped up I didn't even have to think about it and at the price what a deal. They were easy to install and already slammed the radiator shut and the hinges held…

“IGLOO ONLY” for outdoor recreation

PLEASE ONLY buy for Iglu brand chests! I found the design to be as described: solid stainless hinges with stainless self-tapping screws for attachment to the cover and back of the cooler; no sharp edges or crooked punchings; Holes right where they should be. Overall build quality, fit and looks were excellent. cold morning.) But they are NOT suitable for brands other than Igloo. They were just the right width, but didn't go all the way to the outside wall of the heatsink, so the included screws
