I bought this to add more RAM to my laptop. I didn't have money to buy a new laptop. So the purchase has allowed me to use my current laptop and save money.

Unfortunately, this is the first time I've had problems with Corsair's memory. My t410 laptop only partially booted into Windows or Linux and then froze or restarted. The issue was resolved by purchasing the same size in Crucial storage.

This item was DOA. Let me clarify that from the moment I took it out of the box this never worked. I reinstalled the original memory and my laptop continued to work as usual. I ordered and installed several G. Skill memory modules with the same specifications and higher capacity. This memory of G. Skill has been kept in my notebook ever since. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this junk.

So far there have been no problems (was only 1 month). Seems to fit well. I probably should have used the 8BG module, but this new Dell Inspiron made it a bit harder to take apart to upgrade the RAM, and I had no idea what was already inside without opening it first.
