These towels are NOT very absorbent at all. They are rated at 400gsm and I suspect this is false advertising. I have cheaper towels that work much better than this set. I returned it after a few days of use

I love these machine embroidery cloths. I prewash them so I can't comment on how they shrink but I can't tell if they shrink. The waffle weave gives enough texture but is still perfect for machine embroidery. I use a rinse/tear off product with great results. Next I will try it with WSS only. perfect size Excellent quality!

update: I received a replacement and just washed them with detergent (same detergent) and had the same effect. Even after washing there were stains with bleach. Unfortunately they will come back. I took the towels and washed them in plant detergent and fabric softener, that was it. Almost all towels came out as if they had been used with bleach. I didn't check them before washing so I don't know if it was there beforehand. I have a septic system so I cannot use chlorine bleach to wash. A real…
