I've washed the bedspreads (I bought two as one always looks dirty) several times over the past two months and they've held up incredibly well. Children's stains can be easily removed from them. I highly recommend.

The changing pad it carries is waterproof. So this case isn't really needed unless you have 3-4! 1 to wrap, 1-2 to wash and 1 clean, ready to use. The case itself is great and easy to put on. If I had a girlfriend, maybe I would only need one. But my son pees almost every time we change him, so I don't use the suitcase anymore.

I bought this in my registry so my newborn would have a nice soft pillow to lie on, but I soon found that changing the sheets is totally inconvenient and I wouldn't benefit much from it . Babies lose fluid from all parts of their bodies and the changing mat (obviously) gets pretty dirty.
