Sturdy and reliable

I've had it for a few months now and it's holding up. I'm used to those with sharp clips digging the web, but this one pushes instead. So not as strong a clasp as I'm used to, but the straps show no signs of wear, which I really like. The only problem: the buckle rusts on the inside, and a lot. Not really sure what to do with it at the moment (not sure if WD-40 is fabric safe etc) but since it's not visible you might not care (I really don't care but worth mentioning) . Otherwise I was happy…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Reliability

Shop some of the best in the Accessories category

I use this style of belt with both plastic and metal buckles because they are inexpensive, fully adjustable and can be color coordinated with almost any style of pant (I hate it). wear a black belt on khaki pants). I haven't had a single dip, but I still carry extras in my car and travel bag.

Extra thin - not like military belts

Thin? About the same as my Carhartt work pants. Nothing like the cotton military belts I have now, and nothing like the cotton military belts I bought at a navy store two weeks ago (they didn't have khaki). Received - viewed - sent back.

Pleasantly surprised!

I've bought some casual web belts lately and the quality has always been poor. The belts do not close properly and have to be constantly tightened. The buckles are cheap and the belt itself was flimsy. I don't expect good service from these cheap belts. Thought I'd risk taking an American made Thomas Bates belt to compare the quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find a much thicker and stiffer strap with a stronger buckle. I wore the strap all day and never had to tighten it. These belts cost

Just doesn't hold up as tightly as I hoped

Growing up in the 80's I remember these straps being everywhere. Some were better than others. For the price this is a fair offer. But they don't hold as tight as I had hoped. I mainly use them in my woodworking workshop. I often have to adjust them.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

A little difficult to adjust the buckle slider

I'd rather have a buckle that folds down to adjust the length after you insert the belt. It has 2 small tabs at the top and bottom that you can slide to adjust the length. I've found that I have to use a lot of hand force to keep the belt from slipping and a lot of effort to undo the tabs after you've made them so they don't slip. If you don't press the slider, the belt will loosen and not hold the pants. The worst thing is when you go shopping and your pants fall off in front of the crowd. I'm

What's going on nearby. It's good!

I bought an extra belt (I'm cheap) so I don't have to change long pants and shorts. Too good things about this belt: 1) It completely surrounds me (plus 300#) 2) It's cheap (shade less than $10. What's not to like? It's army surplus, durable. I would buy it again or another spare part!

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • No performance

Exactly the strap I needed

I play golf 4-5 times a week and have long had frustration with the straps I use for my pants/golf shorts. I don't want to use my top shelf straps. The middle shelf and bottom shelf straps that I kept buying didn't hold up and/or didn't work. I found these military belts and bought two - black and brown. PERFECT. I wore this type of belt in the military for 20 years. They're simple in design, but they're rugged and work great.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Minor issues

I didn't expect anything like this

This is nothing like the military belts we use. Thin and more like nylon than cotton. Extremely stiff and even after prolonged wear. Doesn't get soft. The buckle doesn't hold onto the belt very well at all. The gripper teeth cannot catch on the material. I think it's due to the hardness of the strap material. As I wrote. Doesn't look like cotton. I absolutely cannot recommend this belt.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not sure
