A good keystone is easy to install in the patch panel.

I like it very much, they fit exactly on my patch panel and snap into place. The quality is good, I would buy more of these. This is great if you don't want to use Keystone.

Some connectors stopped working after a week

Initially all the connectors worked, but after a week some of the connectors stopped working. The upgrade of about 1/3 of the connectors stopped working after three weeks. I confirmed using different plugs with the same wires only to find out that some plugs stopped working.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • There are bugs

One doesn't work. for ethernet cable

Checked all 25 connectors. One doesn't work. As can be seen in the photo, wire 7 and wire 8 are not connected. I will try to contact the seller because I need them now and don't want to return them.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Low maintenance

They test my network of wired cameras before I run new cables

I have some good network cables that are often too short to connect to the various camera sites I tested. By using these built in connectors I can reuse several shorter cables for testing at a remote location. If the test site proves suitable, I may be able to replace the test leads attached to the in-line ferrule with new full-length, one-piece leads. I'm also testing the effectiveness of wrapping these built-in connectors with self-adhesive silicone tape to make them waterproof. Then, if theโ€ฆ

I connect my house to ethernet for my home network, wired guest network and VOIP network. I had white ports for data and blue ports for VOIP and the black ports I use for wired IoT devices (CCTV cameras mostly). These jacks fit securely into my Keystone faceplates and are mechanically strong. The sockets (front and rear) make for a solid connection and have not caused any problems so far. For me, the most beautiful thing about trapezoidal sheets, sockets and plugs is when they don't surprise me

Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

A key element of our house renovation project

The house was built in the late 90's. We had the foresight to ask the builder to install conduit instead of running the cables directly into the walls. We can then route any cables we want fairly easily. We used Cat5 everywhere back then, and in recent years we have very slowly upgraded to Cat6. Our modem, switch and main computers are in the home office so it's all Cat6 there, but it's time to expand to the rest of the house. We have a cable run that we just upgraded to Cat6 from our homeโ€ฆ
