🔧 CP-5NMO Lip Mount: Enhance Reception with 3-Axis Adjustable, NMO Compatible Solution featuring 18ft Coax Review

Perfect use for my LF and VHF antennas that still fit in my garage. Surprisingly, they mount directly to the side brackets of the BackRack.

This is my third machine. I've been using them since my 2006 Prius and most recently on my 2020 Tesla. It simplifies installation and cable routing as much as possible.

I confess that the installation and installation of the antenna took some time, but it was worth it. This bracket stayed and never had to be adjusted. Used for 3 years until I sold the car. When I took it off there was no obvious clue as to where it was. I reinstalled it on my new truck with no problems. I have a 2m / 70cm antenna on it.

I recently purchased a Comet CP-5NMO trunk mount for my Mustang. A Browning BR-140 NMO antenna is screwed to it and to my Cobra 25 LTD. As this is a trunk mount, the lid itself may NOT FIT COMPLETELY against the body when closed. I attached 3/8 wide copper braid directly to the case on both sides of the cover. The best product I have ever bought. The feedline section closest to the antenna was a brilliant idea. The mount itself is well made and secure. I plugged in my Comet SSB2 NMO antenna and it became very quiet around our club repeater. I'm tired of having my roof knocked off with a drill hole and I'm eventually forced to fill a hole in the body shop and repaint the roof.
