Bought this CQR belt because of the width. It's only 1.5 inches. Not much compared to the 1.75", but a big difference when it comes to use with different sized belt loops. The belt is embroidered with logos, so it makes sense to only wear it on the right side. It's the opposite of what I'm used to. The buckle is such that you slide the webbing of the belt to the side, adjust, and then insert the other end of the webbing into the other side of the buckle. Great for people like me with skin allergies to metal/steel belt buckles. I used a leather strap with velcro, but over time the velcro wore out and was difficult to hold.
