I forgot how fun and relaxing weaving is. This is great for kids aged 7+. My 5 year old loves it too, although he's more into color matching. Many things can also be done with the loops - potholders, headbands, bracelets, etc. can be used by the children as gifts for the family. I would have preferred a metal loom, but a plastic one works well. I broke the hook after doing a few tacks which was frustrating.

Cheap plastic with sharp edges. The hook is thin and also has sharp edges. The instructions are on the back of the box but should be included as a fold out sheet with more detailed instructions that are easier for the child to follow. In addition, the manufacturer must provide information on where additional hinges can be purchased. I wanted my SpEd students to try this as a fine motor skill, but even they couldn't do it on their own. Very cheaply made and a big disappointment. Will know next…
