Not very functional

Will not fit through the top of my 5 gallon bottle. The three-piece design allows for vacuum leaks and makes sampling difficult.

Pros
  • Barware & Drinkware
Cons
  • Commercial Item

You get what you pay for

Knowing it would leak and require multiple dives to get the amount needed to test my drink, I bought it anyway. It works, but probably not as efficiently as a one-piece wine thief.

Cons

Works great - bar tools and drinkware

My wine making kit came with a wine thief but it was too short for a machinist, I found it silly. So I bought this a long time ago and it's great for tasting wine from my 6 gallon Car Boy. It splits into 3 parts for easy cleaning.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Functionality

Somehow it doesn't work perfectly?

I don't know why but it doesn't fill the inside of the tube to the liquid level outside. I don't know how he managed to defy physics like that, but I'm a little impressed. Not much, but enough to be a little annoying.

Pros
  • Food and entertainment
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
