They didn't suit me. I wanted to secure the beginning of the tape, but the cut wasn't big enough and too small for a whole tape spool.

They were perfect for my tape that slipped off the original spool. Allowed my repository to be much more functional and cleaner. I just wish there were more little slots on the outside edge to insert the end of the ribbon. Maybe three spaced on each roll. This way I can keep more tape on the roll.

Spools are good for almost anything except thin line or thread that can be cut with sharp edges. The form seams on the inner surfaces where the material is wrapped have sharp, sharp edges.
