Holds stamps and ink pads

I convert as many of my wooden stamps as possible into clear ones. This allows me to insert them into MISTI for restamping. The Ez Mount foam makes this possible. I removed the stamps from the wood by heating the stamp, slowly peeling it off and placing it on the foam as directed. Then I cut out the stamp. This works very well.

Pros
  • Many are enough
Cons
  • too stupid

Perfect for glued stamps

This gray foam is perfect for stamps. To save space I removed my wooden stamps from the blocks and pillows and placed them on top of the styrofoam. They are simply glued on, cut out and adhered to an acrylic block or MISTI stamping tool. Please note that this rating is for grey, thicker foam. Thinner black foam will not work properly with MISTI.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Only available in black

Not worth the money

This was advertised as a mounting foam if you want to turn wooden stamps into stamps. Do not worry. The surface you would apply the image to is BLACK which means the stamped image will not be visible. If you print the image on something else and stick it on the sticky part of the stamp, nothing will stick to the acrylic block. In other words, it doesn't work.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No machine

Great option to save space for stamps

This foam works like a charm. I had over 100 sets of wood block stamps. After removing the stamp from the block, I glued it to the sticky side of the styrofoam and cut it with an exacto knife. I went through a few blades as the blades were sticking together and couldn't be pulled off safely. The sticky side works very well on an acrylic stamp pad. I keep my stamps in jewelry boxes and glue sticks stick moderately well to plastic. I had to learn a little how to place the stamps on the styrofoam…

Pros
  • Great!
Cons
  • Expensive

Makes a good impression even with plain rubber

I use this foam on almost all of my disassembled rubber stamps. After trying the gray foam and printing the image on the back, I decided all the extra work wasn't worth the extra effort. I use this directly on rubber and have been very happy using the resulting dies on a Misty or Tim Holtz die platform. When you disassemble your matrices you will find that they come in different strengths. Sometimes they come out pretty thin so I just use the stamp's position. If the thickness isn't…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Make stamps with your own hands.

I use my Silhouette Cameo to cut Silhouette Stamps. However, if you don't connect each part of the design, you'll end up with separate stamps. Of course you can put them on the acrylic block, but every time you use a stamp you have to position every single part of the stamp. So my method would be to create a stamp design and print it on paper. Then use the silhouette cameo to cut out the stamp design with the stamping material. Using the printed copy as a guide, I place the stamps on the paper.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsure
