Craftmade K068 Fan Glass 4 Review

I have one of those standard white fans, a plain white glass bowl that's exactly the shape. It has these three screws that you unscrew to remove the glass (has a lip groove on the top edge, the hook goes into the bracket).

This was the perfect replacement for the one I broke on my ceiling fan trying to remove and clean it. I use Dollar Tree energy saving bulbs and despite the frosted glass it still glows brightly. Arrived safe and sound.

Product dimensions on this schoolhouse globe are INCORRECT. Product dimensions: 17.1 x 7.8 x 5.6 inches. You might assume that 17.1 inches would be the width of the globe. It's not like this. It's more like 8.5 inches. If you read customer Q&A someone will notice the width is 8 inches but my goodness update the dimensions. No, I have a tiny school globe.

I REPLACED BROWN WITH A 1980S GOLDEN FLORAL BALL. ON THIS CLASSIC WHITE SCHOOL GLOBE ON ONE OF MY CEILING FANS. I PLANNED TO REPLACE THE FAN, IN FACT I ALREADY PURCHASED THE FAN BUT AFTER REPLACING THE GLOBE IT BROUGHT THE ENTIRE ROOM THE MUCH NEEDED UPDATE THAT I WANTED. I PLAN TO BUY MORE PARK AND REPLACE THE BLADES OF THE REST FANS IN MY HOUSE.

The neck of this globe didn't have a big lip for the screws to grab. Half wasn't that bad, but the rest of the neck had almost no lip. This made installation very difficult. We really have to remember that next time we will have to replace the light bulb because as soon as we loosen the first screw it immediately falls out. I would send it back but it's too fragile for me to return. If it weren't for the lip, the globe would be just fine.

The light was fine, but it came from a seller who has to pay you for the return, which means that it is not worth it because the light is only 12.99 in any hardware store $ costs while you're stuck paying a lot more from Revain and then sticking with it when you need to return it. I donated it to a local charity but the buyer should be aware that if you don't like it or in my case it didn't stay safe you can throw your money away with the device.

Looking to buy this and trying to determine if it would fit I laughed out loud at the number of different responses.
