Quality air ratchet, has good torque and not too loud

This air ratchet is a lot heavier and nicer than I was expecting. Ever since my old air ratchet broke, I have been using a battery powered or regular manual ratchet for everything. The battery powered one is just too weak for real work and there are times when an air ratchet is just faster and easier than any other tool.The design of this tool is excellent. It's black with a red rubber grip that is supposedly so your hands don't get cold but it also helps you grip the tool with gloves on…

I received an open item but it works well.

The tool I received had been cut out of the plastic display pack and looks like it has been used! All of the packaging was not in the shipping bag so it was done before shipping. Not cool!The tool works fine though and after a little wiping down, looks new.It drives with enough torque to run up or back out bolts but I will need to do the snugging up or breaking loose with a hand wrench or torque wrench to better control the tightness. Great ratchet and works well with my compressor. Weighs in at 2.5 lbs. No attachments included

I was kind of surprised by how hefty this ratchet is, but that isn't to say it's heavy. It weights 2 lbs and 7 ounces so it's really close to 2.5 lbs. Kind of hefty to be lugging it around for any length of time, but not so bad that you can't stand to hold it for a spell and get work done.It doesn't include any attachments, but they can be gotten separately or use any brand you already have. Quality as expected from name brand.

I was brought up in a craftsman household and have been a long time loyalist, especially when it comes to my garage tools. This air ratchet has a similar fit and finish to recent offerings from craftsman, these are a far cry from the tools of the 60's and 70's that my dad has, but will certainly suffice for light to moderate use my home garage.My complaints are that the trigger feels very flimsy, I can imagine getting into a situation where it gets bent some time in the future.
