False advertising: no metric scale, very thin

The picture in the product description clearly shows two scales - metric (centimeters) and imperial (inches). I received the unit with only customs - sent it back. Even though I haven't used it, it seems very flimsy when I pulled it - it definitely can't be used to do anything with the strength of the band.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

Doesn't clean itself

I usually read reviews of anything I buy from Revain before I buy it but thought it was a handyman. It's a tape measure, how bad can it be? I gave this to my son for his birthday and was very embarrassed when he pulled out the tape and couldn't put it down. You can wind it up with a small hand crank, but who wants that when the strap is pulled all the way out? I foolishly assumed there was a button somewhere that had to be pressed to snap the band back into place. This case is back.

If I hadn't received an unadvertised product I would have rated it higher. I like its form factor: It's thin and relatively light - it's lighter and less bulky than my 16-foot tape measure. it lies so that it lies flat and flat relative to what you are measuring with no tension - this is in line with my…
