🛠️ CRAFTSMAN Shallow Impact Socket for Efficient Fastening - CMMT15866 Review

I am not a professional and have not used this item with an impact wrench. I changed a serpentine belt and needed a 6pt 17mm head. For some reason you can only find 6pt to hit or 3/4 which didn't work for me since my breakbar is 1/2. It worked for my needs and seemed sturdy enough. The product was made in Taiwan, not China, so that's a plus.

I purchased this to replace a missing socket in my original kit. They are not of the same quality as the original Craftsman sockets from a few years ago. It is made in China, not in the USA like the original. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as almost everything is made overseas these days, but the nest finish and cut is very poor compared to the originals. Hopefully it will last as long as the originals I have had for 15+ years.

I was a little disappointed at first as I have a 21 and 22 from Lowes, polished and nice looking. Then when I got my 24th from here, it had a smooth, powdery finish and the fonts were obviously different. So I compared. 24 from here says Made in Taiwan. The ones I got from Lowes say "Made in China". As far as I know, Taiwanese instruments are a step up compared to China. So maybe I was lucky. I don't know, others here say they are spoken by China.
