I bought this to replace a similarly styled 30 year old metal stool that I used in my dressing room. This one is lighter but feels solid. The only point of criticism is the poor adhesion to the rubber pads. There was excess adhesive around the edges of both pads which looked dirty and should have been a dust trap too. My kitchen cupboards are very high. I dragged the wooden stool around the kitchen for several weeks before I finally got the hang of it and bought it.
